Kid Harlequin Album Release

Last weekend in the Netherlands were Kingsday and night to celebrate the birthday of the king, which is mostly an excuse to get really drunk.. On the night before Kingsday was the album release of the band of a friend of a good friend of mine called Kid Harlequin. I had never actually heard of them before, but she told me it would be really something for me, so I had to go -.^ It was kind of a refuge for people who do not enjoy participating in the drunken, loud craziness of that celebration (like me) xD

This was my look for that evening:

I tried really light gal make, but it does not show in the pic T^T

The concert was in this really cool alternative club in a city nearby. To be honest I liked the intro band more than the main act! They are called Order of the Emperor. I really like how dynamic they were ^^ Here is a move of them playing:

The main act was good as well, especially in terms of music, but just not exactly my thing as much as the first. I made another movie for you to get an impression:

Lately I have been to more concerts again and I really love the atmosphere at them and just seeing all these cool bands perform live.. So I decided to go to as many concerts as I can in the future! Starting with the concert of Dir En Grey soon \(^o^)/ I hope you liked this post, please leave me a comment.

Theme outfits: Grease and summer sweet

Sometimes I just like to randoomly try something different from my normal style ( sometimes really in theme). I wanted to shwo you guys two of such outfits, hope you like them!

Grease Lightning

After taking the pic I realised my mirror was super dusty O.O But this was just for going to uni after I had watched the movie Grease! I really like that movie! Plus the outfits are so inspiring ( especially Sandy in the end in her leather pants xD)

Summer Sweet

I was not wearing gal make that day, as we went on a family picknick and my parents and brothers still think it's goth or a second puberty x'D Their comments are too annoying for the effort of putting on my gal face! But I finally got to wear a button made by Rox of Princess Apparel, which I bought at OshareCon. It says:"Kawaii in the streets, senpai in the sheets" ^^

I always think it's funny to see myself in sweet coords like this, as I used to wear things like this all the time, but it's not really my everyday style anymore. What do you think? Does it still suit me?

Hope you liked my post! Please leave me a comment :3

CL review: New Diamond-Blue (sponsored)

It's time for another Circle Lens review. I love trying all kinds off different lenses so I was really happy when a new package from KLenspop arrived! The lenses they send me were New Diamond-Blue , you can find them here for only $13.  So this is the package they arrived in (cute as always^^):

In the package were of course the lenses, but also a lense case and a tool with which you can put them in. However I rather use this tool when decorating nails -.^

Do you remember my last review on lenses from Klenspop? (You can find it here) I was not super enthousiastic about them, so this time I asked for lenses with a darker rim and a design more suited for on light eyes and I was super happy when receiving these! They were exactly what I asked for ^^:

Some information about the lenses:

Graphic diameter: 13.5 mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Type: 1 Year disposal

These lenses were still somewhat smaller than I am used to, but I really love the design! Here they are on my light eyes in different light conditions:

With one lense in

In natural light

In electrical light

 In the shade

Here's what I thought of them:

Color: 4/5
The color is really nice. It is a kind of cool blue, almost the same as my own eyes. I prefer it when colors pop more though, but that's me being a perfectionist-.^

Design: 5/5
I LOVE this design! It is really cool and the heavy outer ring is just perfect <3 They really suit my eyes and I think these might just be my new favorites!

Enlargement: 4/5
These really give that big eye effect, even though they are smaller than what I'm used to!

Comfort: 5/5
Even no irritation while standing in the smokers' room.

Pro's:

  • Big enlargement
  • Beautiful design
  • Really well suited for light eyes
  • They give kind of a soulful look, because of the big outer ring
  • Very comfortable
  • Cheap for such quality
Con's:

  • The color does not really pop
I really can't think of anymore cons xD

I hope you liked my review. I am curious to here if you are still missing something here, so tell me in the comments -.^ Check out KLenspop's selection if you liked these lenses, they have a huge selection!

Much Love!

Introducing: ReGAL

Remember how I mentioned something about a new gyarusa in my post about the Dutch Jfashion conference OshareCon? If not you can read it here. Well now I can finally say more! In the Netherlands there are not many gyarusa, there was actually only one that has also become quite inactive lately but is starting back up again. That is called Hyper and is known for the international summer meets they organise here. So we decided it was time for a new, more active circle!

Yesterday we launched our FB page and made it official \(^o^)/ So who is in it? Well we made some pictures at OshareCon:

We were not complete yet, so we are going to have to make new pics with the whole group.. Which will of course be posted here -.^

Much Love!

Ganglion concert

Happy Easter everyone!

Yes you read the title right, Ganglion finally came to the Netherlands!! \(^o^)/ One of my biggest Rokku model inspirations is Oni, who is coincidentally the singer of one of my favorite Japanese bands Ganglion <3 So I felt like the luckiest gal ever!

Getting ready was of course super chaotic as I had a looong day at uni before and only had an hour before I had to catch the train in which I still had to eat dinner, do make and hair and get changed O.O But I managed in the end:

And my make:

(wow, am I looking happy here xD I suppose it must have been the time pressure)

So after putting on a pair of as s kicking platforms, so I could better see the band -.^, it was off to Haarlem for the concert ! It was soooo great! There were not too many people, but we had a really good time and the atmosphere was great, everybody was so excited to see them finally in real live \(^o^)/ I tried to make some pics during the concert while jumping up and down and screaming my lungs out ( so excuse the not too great quality).

I even touched all the band members and Oni's hair !!! I almost died right then and there x'D Also I made a movie, with not the best sound quality, but I just had to take something home of the concert :

It was so amazing I did not want it to end! Buuut it did and I am already looking forward to the next concert when they get back here ^^

Much Love!

OshareCon nails

Remember my post about the first Dutch Jfashion conference OshareCon? (If not you can find it here) At the conference I participated in a workshop for making Deconails. I really liked it! Unfortunately the workshop was only an hour including making an idea, polishing the nails, choosing deco and everything so almost nobody got to finish them in time T^T This morning I finally had the chance to complete mine and I am kind of happy with the result:

This was only the second time I made nails myself, so I still had some difficulty with the small deco xD I started with these polished nails I had after the workshop and some deco I took home with me:

The nails had gotten a little damaged as the polish was not completely dry yet when we had to take them home, but I had the same colours at home so I could fix them :3 As planning is not my strongest suit I just started and it actually went quite fast! Except for when I had to make the last nail, that was so hard ^^

So now the end result... (imagine drums here -.^ )

So how do you like them? As I said it's only the second pair I made and they are not perfect yet, but it was a lot of fun to make them \(^o^)/  Next time I'll try with more of a plan and more elaborate designs, I already have a lot of ideas!

Much Love!
